Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data Loggie collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We keep things plain and simple — no legal maze.

1. Who we are

Loggie is a personal taste-tracking app developed by Keith Daly ("we", "us", "our"). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us here.

2. What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

·Account data — your email address, display name, and username when you register.

·Profile data — optional bio, location, and profile photo you choose to add.

·Log data — the items you log (titles, notes, ratings, tags, photos) and their timestamps.

·Ritual data — photos, captions, and preference tags attached to rituals you create.

·Experience data — photos, captions, ratings, preferences, and the venue name and address you enter when logging an out-of-home experience. If you search for a venue, the query is sent to Google Places API (see Section 4).

·Taste insights — preference patterns derived from your log data, used to generate your personal Taste DNA. This processing happens on our infrastructure and is not shared with third parties.

·Usage data — which features you use and basic app interaction data to help us improve the product.

·Payment data — subscription status managed by RevenueCat and Apple. We never see or store your payment card details.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

·Provide, maintain, and improve the Loggie app and website.

·Personalise your experience — including generating your Taste DNA, surfacing suggested categories, and improving recommendations. This involves automated processing of your log, ritual, and experience data. No decisions with legal or significant personal effect are made solely by automated means.

·Process and manage your subscription via RevenueCat.

·Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

·Understand how the app is used in aggregate to guide product decisions.

4. Third-party services

Loggie uses the following trusted third parties:

·Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure (EU/US data centres). supabase.com/privacy

·RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management. revenuecat.com/privacy

·Apple App Store — payment processing for iOS subscriptions. apple.com/legal/privacy

·Expo / EAS — app build and distribution infrastructure.

·Google Places API — when you search for a venue in the Experience feature, your search query is sent to Google. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy. We store only the venue name and address you select, not raw search queries.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Photos

Photos you attach to log entries are stored securely in Supabase Storage. Photos on public log entries are visible to other Loggie users. Photos on private entries are only visible to you. You can delete any photo at any time from within the app.

6. Public and private content

When you log an item, you choose whether it is public or private. Public entries may be visible to other users in their feed or on your profile. Private entries are only ever visible to you. You can change the visibility of any entry at any time.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, log entries, and photos within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

·Access a copy of your personal data (use the CSV export in the app).

·Correct inaccurate data (edit your profile and entries in the app).

·Delete your data (delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account).

·Object to or restrict certain processing.

·Data portability.

To exercise any right not available in-app, submit a privacy request.

9. Children

Loggie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase), and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Loggie after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact
